BASIC MEAT INSPECTION TRAINING COURSE

The Basic Meat Inspection Training Course is a good and firm foundation to build upon when you are engaged in meat inspection work.  Meat Inspectors/Veterinarians assigned in meat inspection work should have completed the Basic Meat Inspection Training Course (BMITC) as required under Meat Inspection Code of the Philippines.

The DA-NMIS Regional Technical Operation Center 4A conducted its 21st BMITC at the Kahariam Realty and Farm Inc. Brgy. Adya, Lipa City Batangas from September 14 to October 14, 2016.  The training was attended by 25 participants who are LGU officials from different municipalities and cities of CALABARZON.

As one of the participants, I have personally realised the relevance and importance of the BMITC in the life of a meat inspector.  To become effective and efficient meat inspector, one should not only know his duties and responsibilities but he must also follow the code of conduct and ethical standard for public officials.  I am also impressed on how much competent, dedicated and committed all NMIS focal persons are in their line of duties.  They truly exemplify the vision, missions and their mandate in order to have one healthy Philippines.
